Four MIAMI Eats
Living in Miami for two years now, I think it is safe to recommend some of my favorite places to eat! Let’s discuss some different restaurants I would always say yes to. The best part? All four of these recommendations are totally different from one another.
Miami is a place for foodies, there’s no doubt. From Latin American cuisine to diners, there is something for everyone. I swear a new restaurant or luxury building is popping up every day. I figured I would share four diverse places that we always go to and have never had a bad experience. So let’s get into it! I think number four is my all time fav so far!
OSAKA
Osaka Cocina Nikke is a Japanese and Peruvian inspired restaurant. With over a decade of experience, Osaka offers an exceptional menu and a unique dining experience. Fun fact: Osaka means - the materialization of a dream and our passion for surfing, traveling and having a good time. The vibe in the restaurant is dark and moody but definitely coastal. Here is what we ordered and what I would recommend (please note, they may change the menu):
Appetizers:
Tuna Tataki, yellow aji cream, chimichurri nippon, chirimoya gel and culantro.
Crispy Rice
Nikkel Salaf
Entrees:
Mochero Duck, crispy duck leg over wok rice, jerky and shiitake with tumbo honey.
Osaka Steak, 24 oz. Bone-in ribeye, truffle uchucuta, tare criollo, smoked salt.
I recommend this restaurant if you love sushi and are looking for something more high-end.
CHUGS DINER
Now this one is totally different from Osaka, but this is our go-to diner when we are in the grove. They have a beautiful outdoor patio and I just love their aesthetic. With colors of green and brown, you’ll always get good food pics here. They are also super pet-friendly so we always bring our dog. I have now been to Chug’s more times than I can count. Here is what we usually get:
Drinks:
Mocha Iced coffee with a splash of Whole Milk
Appetizers:
Duck Croquetas
Ham and Cheese Croquetas
Beltrans bacon
Meals:
Pan con Croqueta
French Toast (THE BEST)
Breakfast Sandwich
This is a must if you are ever in the Grove! It is such a good brunch spot and we have never been dissapointed!
ERNIE’S ACAI
These guys are great and they are expanding all throughout South Florida! They serve acai bowls but it’s not just any acai, it is so different. It is thick, ice-cream like, and just cold enough. I get one of their bowls like once a week! The owners are also super nice and if you ever get the chance to meet them, you’ll know what I mean! What people don’t know is acai can be served all throughout the day, sometimes I even get a bowl for dinner! Below is what we usually order and my recommendations!
Drinks:
Sour blueberry United Soda
Bowls:
Purple Reign (as is)
The scarlet letter (remove coconut oil)
BYO (Gluten-free granola, golden raisins, coconut chips, blueberries, raspberries, and a drizzle of nutella)
I know you guys will like this place just as much as I do! Check out their locations to see if there is one near you!
RISTORANTE FRATELLI MILANO
Now last but not least, one of my favorite restaurants and dining experience in all of Miami! This true Italian restaurant is located in the heart of downtown in a low-lit, cozy, and romantic spot. If you are looking for a true Italian cuisine and vibe, this place is for you! We have gone a couple of times now and my favorite time to go is on my birthday, that’s just how much I love it!
Drinks:
Sauvignon Blanc
Aperol Spritz
Appetizers:
Antipasto Misto
Tradizionale
Entrees:
Fettuccine Allo Scoglio
Spaghetti Alle Vongole Con Bottarga
Ravioli Di Aragosta
Dessert:
Lemon Tart
I can not recommend this place enough! Don’t be surprised if everyone in there speaks Italian, it’s the best part! ;)
Although the list can go on and on, these are just some of my recommendations for good eats in Miami! Let us know if you try out these spots and enjoy our recommendations! These restaurants are deserving of your service!
