The Best Fragrances
“You smell good.” Is without required explanation one of the highest compliments you can receive from someone. If you're anything like me, you cannot leave the house without a daily spritz of your preferred fragrance. I feel as though the unspoken rule of thumb for women everywhere in terms of their perfume collection is simple: An affordable fragrance option, and a fancier high-end fragrance for more special occasions, if applicable. For this reason, I've included a number of scent recommendations that all have similar keynotes and aspects at various price ranges. Everyone knows the importance of having your signature perfume or scent. As you'll find from the must-haves I am going to mention, I often opt for earthy, clean scents that are not too overpowering yet are still alluring. Here are a few options that you're sure to love if we have this in common.
Le Monde ‘Gourmand Santal Supreme’ - $25.00
This is undoubtedly EVERYTHING I am looking for in a fragrance. A clean, sultry, natural scent. Sandalwood meets violet meets musky! This fragrance is free of chemicals like sulfates and parabens and is also cruelty-free and vegan. It is so rare to find an affordable fragrance like this that is safe to use and lasts all day. More than ever I am looking out for myself as I keep my skin and body's wellness in mind. This perfume is definitely for you if you are the same way!
Anthropologie ‘Cleanse’- $32.00
This perfume is hands down one of my all-time favorites. This botanical-inspired fragrance does not stray far from my repeated requirements. This perfume features cozy earth notes of amber, sandalwood, and petitgrain. I find the fragrance is both comforting and relaxing to have lingering on you all day long, and I always receive so many compliments on it! Someone asked me if I was wearing Tom Ford the other day! This perfume is also a part of the plant wisdom fragrance collection at Anthropologie, all of which are natural-smelling scents with different keynotes and purposes. This favorite of mine is also very affordable and is available in-store and online. The design of the bottle itself is also very aesthetic and the perfect size for traveling!
L’huile corps body oil Chanel COCO Mademoiselle - $80.00
Building off the botanical-inspired theme of the Anthropologie fragrance, this body oil is an indulgent floral experience as well! It is composed of naturally derived ingredients and follows a familiar theme as the previous fragrances mentioned. I find this body oil to last longer than a traditional spray fragrance as it seems to seep into the skin and lasts much longer when applied after a shower or even lightly to the ends of your hair! Not only does the oil smell heavenly, but it simultaneously softens skin, so a two-for-one concept! Composed of floral and natural notes, this oil feels like being wrapped up in a warm hug. It is important to mention that it is not too intense, which stays on brand with the minimalistic scents I usually reach for. This is definitely more of a splurge, but it checks off my favorite high-end fragrance product box and if you're willing to try it, I think you'll agree! The Chanel label is also always appealing to the eye. Another plus.
Whatever your perfume price range is, you ultimately do not have to break the bank to find a good fragrance. If you enjoy young and natural scents as I do with light and airy elements like sandalwood, etc, none of these will disappoint you!
